We will begin by making a full copy of your data in order to prevent any further loss. We will then carry out a full evaluation of the drive and data prior to contacting you, to let you know what can be done.
The purpose of this service is to help you recover deleted or damaged files, we can also copy data from one storage device to another, for example if you wished to upgrade your hard drive but need to keep all your programs and files on the original!
Data Erasure
When it comes to dealing with client's data you have to handle it with the utmost care, backing it up, ensuring good security and that the risk of data being lost or corrupted is absolutely minimal.
It is equally important to delete unwanted data with the same thoroughness as you would use when protecting it. Simply dragging and dropping the files into the recycle bin and clicking "delete" is not enough. Data recovery techniques have improved over the years, so we recommend that if you are dealing with important documents that must remain private, you choose a professional service.
Rather then simply dragging and dropping the data into the recycle bin, we use a multi-pass system to overwrite the data making it near impossible to recover.
Another important point to remember is that physical hardware stores the data, so if you are upgrading your office PCs and need to dispose of the old ones, we highly recommend that you have the hard drives completely wiped before disposing of the hardware, as otherwise who knows where your data will end up...
We use the industry standard level of data deletion invented by the Department of Defence. (DoD 5220.22-M)
After completing the erasure of your data, each piece of hardware receives a certificate guaranteeing the work done and stating the level of data erasure.
We can also take care of the disposal of the physical hardware.
